Upcoming 2-day workshop

Come join us for a fabulous 2 day workshop for intensive jewelry making workshop Students will learn and make a silver ring, bracelet, earrings and pendant. Student will learn how to set a stone with bezels. Class is $200--included tools and equipment. Students will need to bring their own ounce of silver and stones to beused in jewelry. Silver and stones will be available to purchase at class, if needed. You can pay for the class in person at the store or on our website at  www.localartisancollective.com/calendar  then click on jewelry. Early bird sign up: save $25 if registered for class by Oct 1. Use coupon code: SILVER if registering online. We will need a minimum of 4 students for the class. Max size: 6 students. Class is taught by Rene Venegas, a 16th generation master silversmith. After School Jewelry making class

We are thrilled to be offering an after school jewelry making class for teenagers starting Sept 6.  This will be a 4 week class and is for kids ages 14+ $70 for all 4 weeks, cost includes all materials and stone for last project. If a student wants a more expensive stone, the difference must be paid for. Cost also includes a snack. Week 1: copper cuff bracelet Week 2: silver ring Week 3 and 4: silver pendant with a stone bezel. Week 4: showcasing of all jewelry made Click <HERE> to register securely online . WHOOZERS!!!   Has it really been that long since out last post??? And boy have we been busy since then. Our shop,  The Local Artisan Collective , opened with great support and success from the community. It has continued to grow and we are just thrilled creating more jewelry and expanding the options for classes. For first make the sketch or download my file: Take 30 cm of 16-gauge wire and make a circle at the end of this wire. Follow to the sketch and make the shape of butterfly wing. Pay attention to one point: the cabochon should be located in the center of the pendant, opposite the bail. Use the chain nose pliers to make clear and sharp angle. Use the hammer to flatten the wire. Make some places wider, and some narrower. It looks more picturesque. Like the art of calligraphy.
